Storm the White House

Anti-war activists planning to 'take over' White House Online announcement asks protesters to 'storm' executive mansion March 15 by Ron Strom February 28 2006 World Net Daily http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=49026 A leading anti-Iraq war group is advertising a plan to storm the White House next month and "take it over" until the Bush administration vacates the premises. United for Peace and Justice, which claims to represent 1,300 local and national anti-war organizations, has a page on its site advertising the March 15 action. "We are taking over the White House until they leave," the announcement says. The press release is entitled "Take the White House by Storm" – though elsewhere on the site a statement calls the storming "a peaceful event." "It is our duty and the duty of the United Nations to rescue the people of the world from the U.S. dictators," states the release. "Murder for occupa...

Bite Me

By Chuck Wilson Remember the song, "Found a Peanut?" Well, sing along with this... Propaganda, Propaganda -- nothing but Propaganda! Oh, Rummy -- you're such a dummy. And you're mighty crummy to fill our tummy With nothing but Propaganda! Bite me! As an outspoken critic of the evil elite who try to enslave us to do their bidding, I was particularly alarmed when Deputy Defense Secretary Gordon England told the Senate Armed Services Committee last week that people who publicly oppose allowing the United Arab Emirates company, Dubai Ports World, to take over management of some U.S. ports "could be threatening national security." England said, "The terrorists want our nation to become distrustful. They want us to become paranoid and isolationist, and my view is we cannot allow this to happen. It needs to be just the opposite." So, let me get this straight. After three years of mind-numbing repetitive speeches by Bush designed to make us distrustful...

worst day of his life

Cheney - Never mind America's teenaged military enduring horrors in Iraq, Dick Cheney had the worst day of his life by August Keso, February 15th, 2006 http://www.progressivedailybeacon.com/commentary.php?id=993 It is rather fortunate for Republicans like Dick Cheney that, the Party has its very own propaganda "news" network. That way, whenever a sociopath like Cheney invades a country based on false intelligence, or shoots his hunting partner, he has somewhere to turn knowing they won't ask the tough questions. Also, having FOX in the Republican Party provides people like Cheney an opportunity to make themselves out to be the victim of their own folly. It wasn't pathetic enough that Dick Cheney tried to make himself the victim after having shot his buddy Whittington, but his excuse was borderline outrageous. While fielding typical FOX Republican News softball questions, Cheney said, "The image of him falling is somethi...

we’re going to be dead

We will never know the damage that the bush has done to the United States and the world. By the time the final tally is in, we’re going to be dead. Our children’s grandchildren will still be paying the price. The tax cuts bush has been pushing, and his other policies, guarantee that the children of the elite won’t be paying it. And, by allowing roberts and alito seats on the Supreme Court, the Senate has guaranteed that none of the bushistas will pay for their crimes. You do know, of course, that any problems, convictions, impeachments, and the like, that they may face is going to end up in front of that same Supreme Court. One that is even more beholden to our little georgie than the one that anointed him in the first place on December 12, 2000. (Now there’s a date that should live in infamy.) And then, no doubt, we’ll see them turn up in jeb’s administration. Just as daddy bush’s assorted felons ended up in little bush’s. What a legacy to leave the kids. The bushistas are in too deep...

Jeb shredding state records?

By Joe Baker, Senior Editor http://www.rockrivertimes.com/index.pl?cmd=viewstory&cat=2&id=12347 The Rock River Times Rockford, IL A source inside the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation told Insider magazine that Florida Gov. Jeb Bush has ordered the shredding of documents and public records, a clear violation of Florida law. The department has oversight and approval of state gaming licensees, slot machines, dog and horse tracks, and jai-alai games. The source, who asked to remain anonymous, said the governor also has brought in personnel from Texas to replace key members of his staff in Tallahassee. The Texans are overseeing the destruction of state documents, according to the source. A source in the FBI confirmed that public records are being destroyed on orders of Jeb Bush. The source said the governor may have taken that action in response to the continuing criminal probe of Republican lobbyist Jack Abramoff and the federal investigation of the 2001 ...

An Indictment of America

http://www.commondreams.org/views06/0127-28.htm Editorial Published on Friday, January 27, 2006 by the International Herald Tribune When Human Rights Watch, a respected organization that has been monitoring the world's behavior since 1978, focuses its annual review on America's use of torture and inhumane treatment, every American should feel a sense of shame. And everyone who has believed in the United States as the staunchest protector of human rights in history should be worried. Many nations - Belarus, Uzbekistan, Zimbabwe, Myanmar, Cuba, Sudan and China to name only some of the worst - routinely trample on human rights in a way that neither the United States nor any of its allies would ever countenance. But the United States wrote the book on human rights; it defined the alternative to tyranny and injustice. So when the vice president of the United States actually lobbies against a bill that bans "cruel, inhuman, and degrading treatment," Human Rights Watch is ju...

At last the filibuster

Sen Kerry calls for filibuster of Alito Unclear if Massachusetts Democrat has votes needed to block nominee Thursday, January 26, 2006; Posted: 4:23 p.m. EST (21:23 GMT) http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/01/26/alito/index.html WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sen. John Kerry has decided to support a filibuster to block the nomination of Judge Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court, CNN's Congressional Correspondent Ed Henry reported Thursday. Kerry, in Davos, Switzerland, to attend the World Economic Forum, was marshaling support in phone calls during the day, Henry said. He announced his decision Wednesday to a group of Democratic senators, urging they join him, Henry said. Kerry also has the support of his fellow Massachusetts senator, Democrat Edward Kennedy. Some senior Democrats said they are worried that the move could backfire. Republicans need 60 votes to overturn a filibuster. Senior White House officials said the move makes the Democrats look bad, and Republicans already have enough votes t...

No Good

I know that I’m trying to stop the tide, and I’ve moved too far from the mainstream. But then again, I guess I always was. Mr Alito’s personal and political views and philosophy are incompatible with the Constitution of the United States, as are those of the bush administration. We can be sure from his history, that he will do what he is told. I don’t see any good coming from this. Now would be a good time to call your senators and tell them to filibuster Alito. Tell them to look into their kids’ eyes and ask themselves what kind of America they want for them. We can see what kind the bushistas want. And it ain’t pretty. Your servant here, he has been told to say it clear, to say it cold: It's over, it ain't going any further And now the wheels of heaven stop you feel the devil's riding crop Get ready for the future: it is murder Things are going to slide, slide in all directions Won't be nothing Nothing you can measure anym...

The Imperial Presidency at Work

January 15, 2006 Editorial http://www.nytimes.com/2006/01/15/opinion/15sun2.html …would have learned by now that you cannot deal in good faith with a White House that does not act in good faith […] ...Both of the offensive theories at work here - that a president's intent in signing a bill trumps the intent of Congress in writing it, and that a president can claim power without restriction or supervision by the courts or Congress - are pet theories of Judge Samuel Alito, the man Mr. Bush chose to tilt the Supreme Court to the right. The administration's behavior shows how high and immediate the stakes are in the Alito nomination, and how urgent it is for Congress to curtail Mr. Bush's expansion of power. Nothing in the national consensus to combat terrorism after 9/11 envisioned the unilateral rewriting of more than 200 years of tradition and law by one president embarked on an ideological crusade... […] Again, Congress appears poised to appoint another unethical man to the...

Jerry Texiero to be released from USMC

Breaking News--Jerry Texiero to be released from the Marine Corps By: Jack Dalton Wednesday, January 11, 2006, Camp Lejeune, N.C. – The Commanding General of the Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, N.C. has order the immediate Administrative Discharge of Jerry Texiero. Jerry is being moved from the brig to Camp Lejeune’s Separation Barracks for processing out of the Marine Corps. While I am as happy as a man can be about Jerry’s being discharged without having to face a kangaroo court, we must remember that Jerry has been a prisoner for the past 5 months. When Jerry was transferred from the brig at Parris Island to Camp Lejeune it was with the recommendation to administratively discharge Jerry. The command at Camp Lejeune rejected that recommendation. Knowing they did not have a real case against Jerry, LTC Annie Best chose to try and do a character assassination job on Jerry by release false info that was in his personal military file. To simply state that was against the law is an under...

Sam Alito, no ethics, and a liar

There are many pressing issues that Congress needs to address. For the Senate to be talking to a felon that has been appointed by the bush seems to me a waste of their time. We already know that Sam I Am will say or do anything to get a job that he wants. In an application for a position with the Reagan administration: “ advance legal positions in which I personally believe very strongly. I am particularly proud of my contributions in recent cases in which the government has argued in the Supreme Court that racial and ethnic quotas should not be allowed and the Constitution does not protect a right to an abortion.” Now he says that was just to get the job, and not necessarily what he really believes.. As for the felony, lying to Congress is a felony. In 1990, while being considered for the Circuit Court, Sam the Hustler promised to recuse himself in any case involving Vanguard, in which he had a considerable financial interest. Well, he didn't. Of course, now he says it was caused...

More on Jerry Texiero and the Marine Corps

After extensive conversations about Jerry with Elaine, she sent me the following press release. – Jack Dalton -PRESS RELEASE - January 10, 2006 Jerry Texiero and the Marine Corps Willingness to Lie to “Convict” Him Elaine Smith Marine Corps Base: Camp Lejeune Jscksonville, NC Jerry Texiero--Senior citizen, arrested August 12, 2005, is facing desertion charges pending from 1965. After 4 months of solitary confinement in Florida, he is now being detained in the brig at Camp Lejeune, NC (as of December 14, 2005), and is awaiting a decision: separation in lieu of trial with no conviction (as we were told would happen) or special court martial with a maximum penalty of one year imprisonment. WE WERE LIED TO! Since Jerry’s incarceration in Aug, 2006, I have worked quietly behind the scenes to obtain Jerry’s release. I have tried to respect the fact that our troops are involved in Iraq and have been very fearful that Jerry would be held up as an example to the many Iraqi war deserters. Howeve...

Advice From An Old Man

Due to a craze of events around the world, the United States may find it necessary to reinstate the draft; that is, the U.S. government might be forced into telling our nation’s youth that they have no choice but to honor the call of Uncle Sam, don a military uniform, and go to war. The precipitating factor for such an emergency will likely be that of a joint venture between Israel and the United States, a coordinated military attack upon Iran sometime around late spring or early summer of 2006. Iran has apparently decided to do whatever it must in order to develop its nuclear facilities. On the other hand, Israel and the United States have made it clear that they will not allow Iran to do such a thing. Short of a miracle there seems to be no way out, no way to avoid such a clash. Now, if such a war does become a reality, I suppose that our government could decide to forgo a ground war, and simply bomb the hell out of Iran. However, although such a strategy would likely “fill the b...

bush trimmed?

I doubt the bush will be impeached. Right now, if the 'opposition' party was serious about wanting to gain control of congress this year, they would be pounding the anointed one and all his acolytes, non-stop. And using the words that the repugs cherish so dearly: lies, murderers, traitors, thieves, immoral, corrupt, craven, divisive. Let’s stop dancing around it. All these words describe the bush administration and its allies and apologists. The situation in Iraq and Afghanistan is falling apart. The other day, Snow warns congress that the US is about to hit the debt ceiling, and it needs to be raised. the republicans just passed a massive spending cut in social spending, and is pushing for a more massive tax cut for the rich. The military is losing faith and confidence in bush, according to a recent poll. And the bush himself just got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. And also, we’ve just learned the bush has said the US will no longer be funding the reconstruction of I...

Running out of money

Fascinating, isn’t it? I guess we’ll be seeing another round of tax cuts for the well off. That’s just the sacrifice they’ll have to make. We all have to make sacrifices in these troubled times. But as we know that they’re all superior beings, much better than the worker classes, that they’ll shoulder the burden with their usual elan. –TM US government warns it's running out of cash Fri Dec 30, 2005 http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20051230/ts_afp/uspoliticseconomy_051230161316 WASHINGTON (AFP) - Treasury Secretary John Snow has warned that unless Congress raises the national debt limit, the US government will run out of cash to finance its daily work in two months. In a letter to Senate leaders Thursday, Snow said the statutory debt limit imposed by Congress of 8.184 trillion dollars would be reached in mid-February and the government would then lose its borrowing power. "At that time, unless the debt limit is raised or the Treasury Department takes authorized extraordinary ac...

12/30/05 Background: The UK government has been quick to deny that we practice, or tolerate the practice of Torture. So it is perhaps not suprising that they are determined that you should not see the following documents: http://users.pandora.be/quarsan/craig/telegrams.pdf http://users.pandora.be/quarsan/craig/npaper.jpg Craig Murray was the UK ambassador to Uzbekistan, untill his complaints and protest at the use of intelligence gained by torture got too much for Jack Straw and the Foreign Office, who set about attempting to unsuccessfully smear him, and to successfully remove him from office. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/3750370.stm http://www.craigmurray.org.uk/archives/2005/04/timeline_of_cra.html The Foreign Office has had the draft of Craig's book for clearance for over 3 months now, and they are doing everything they can to try and prevent him from publishing his side of the story. Their latest attempt to cover their own backs was to inform him, the night before Christmas E...
War Resister Jerry Texiero, the Marine Corps and Who Betrayed Whom? By: Jack Dalton 12/29/05 “Military men are just dumb stupid animals to be used as pawns in foreign policy.” Henry Kissinger as quoted in the book “Kiss the Boys Goodbye" Just when was it we in this nation lost our ability to choose if and when we would be willing to kill another human being, or be killed ourselves? When was it that following the “rules” became more important than following what is right? Case in point: Jerry Texiero; who as an active duty Marine in 1965 refused to deploy to Vietnam and took off (For details see: Marine Refuser From 40 Years Ago Faces Court Martial ). 40 years later the Marine Corps has Jerry incarcerated at the Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, N.C. Why would the Marine Corps take so much interest in Jerry Texiero and want to court-martial him 40 years later, when we all know for absolute fact the ‘American War On Vietnam’ was contrived , a war crime on a grand scale, and a war in...

Another class warrior

Our Entitlement Paralysis By Robert J. Samuelson Wednesday, December 28, 2005; Page A21 Washington Pos t [...] Until we challenge this moral logic -- the crux of entitlement politics -- public opinion will resist change and our paralysis will continue. The responsibility for this failure is widespread: among liberals, who like massive government programs; among conservatives, who fantasize about "free market" alternatives to Social Security and Medicare; among pundits and "experts," who speak of the "entitlement crisis" in meaningless generalities or incomprehensible technicalities. Our resulting inaction compounds many future dangers of an aging society: higher taxes, slower economic growth, squeezed government spending for non-elderly programs and more conflict between younger taxpayers and older beneficiaries [...] Again, another clueless pundit writes about Social Security and Medicare. And again his solution is to cut benefits and raise the retirement...
